The new facility will provide the latest technology for the doctors and support staff.
Examples include:
1. Interior courtyard to allow north light into the administrative suite. The physical break in the building also serves as an additional barrier from unwanted odors.
2. A 40’ long clerestory/skylights at main autopsy room, with an average of 200 foot candles of natural illumination at the work surface.
3. Provisions for expansion of autopsy, body cooler and administrative areas. Also, space reserved for a self-contained Bio-Safety Level 3 suite addition, connected to the body receiving bay.
The facility is designed to be LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficient Design) certified, and to be environmentally conscience.
